About Us

Tokyo Blockchain Academy (ToBA)

Build skills. Unlock opportunities. Create impact.

Who We Are

We are a community of learners, builders, and changemakers — passionate about blockchain, crypto, and using them for good. Our mission is to equip individuals from diverse backgrounds — entrepreneurs, educators, social-impact leaders, innovators, and aspiring developers — with the knowledge and skills to build real-world blockchain solutions that drive business, investment, and community impact.

Why We Exist

The world is undergoing rapid digital transformation. Blockchain, decentralized systems, and crypto offer unprecedented opportunities — from transparent registries and trustworthy credential systems, to inclusive finance, tokenized assets, supply-chain traceability, and decentralized governance. Yet many educational offerings remain purely theoretical or are confined to narrow use-cases.

We founded this program to bridge the gap. We envision a future where blockchain adoption goes beyond hype — where individuals and organizations can design, deploy, and manage blockchain-based solutions responsibly and effectively, especially in Southeast Asia and emerging economies.

What We Offer

Our On-Going Blockchain Use Cases

Ghana Green Gold Mining (3GM)
Ghana Green Gold Mining (3GM)

Responsible and transparent gold-mining using blockchain. Every licensed miner and production batch is registered on a distributed ledger — creating an immutable digital trail from mine to market. This promotes ethical supply-chains, fair value for responsibly produced gold, and environmental & social accountability.

SmartPath: Preschool-to-College Assurance Plan
SmartPath: Preschool-to-College Assurance Plan

A blockchain-backed education financing & credentialing platform, covering learners from preschool through college. SmartPath delivers transparent, tamper-proof records for educational savings, disbursements, scholarships, and academic credentials — empowering learners, especially from underserved communities, with secure and portable credentials.

Noren-Wake Blockchain Grant
Noren-Wake Blockchain Grant

Our white-label licensing & support framework for committed educators, social enterprises and community organizations. Under this grant, licensees receive curated materials, training, and brand resources — enabling independent blockchain-enabled projects while staying rooted in shared values and governance principles.

Inclusive Heritage — Our CSR in Action

Building a collaborative digital legacy for youth, women, and PWD in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara Virtual Museum

The Virtual Museum Project — born out of a collaboration between our team and the local government of Santa Barbara — aims to turn community heritage into a shared digital legacy. Centering on the youth, women, and PWD, this initiative creates a platform for voices and stories that are often unheard. With blockchain-enabled registries, artworks, testimonials, and cultural artifacts preserved immutably; and with inclusive design ensuring accessibility, the museum becomes available to everyone. This effort seeks not just to archive, but to empower: giving marginalized individuals a means to create, express, and claim ownership of their narrative. Through active involvement and partnership with Vigee.art, we invite supporters and community members to co-build — and celebrate — a digital museum that reflects dignity, diversity, and shared history.
